Pre-school courses
The preschool programs enroll children from 4-7 years of age. Programs are carried out during the school year 2×1 lessons per week .
Program for preschoolers involves learning a foreign language through games , stories, nursery rhymes , puzzles , drawing, singing, dancing and acting.
Children learn language in a spontaneous and relaxed way in a creative atmosphere.
Studies show that the mechanisms of language acquisition in young age is identical to the adoption of the mother tongue , so we recommend an early start for learning foreign languages .
The program includes a number of didactic materials for early language learning , multimedia approach tailored to the age and needs of the participants .

Curriculum is in accordance with the recommended standards of the Council of Europe.
Students who attend classes regularly and fulfill all obligations and pass the final test paper and the oral exam in front of the commission receive a certificate for a determined level.

Teenagers
The courses we offer are held twice a week during the school year.
Programs are verified by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports .
Classes are based on the latest international methods that include multimedia content and native speakers .
Working in small groups up to12 participants provides an almost individual approach to students enabling faster language acquisition .

Verified adult courses
You can learn or improve general or business English, Italian, German, French , Spanish, Russian and Croatian.
Katedra – Institution for the adult and young learners education is running verified adult education programs since 2009.
The program is certified by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sport, which allows the level of knowledge acquisition to be granted by the Republic of Croatia.
To select the type of course (general or business ) and the number of semesters enough to reach the desired level of knowledge consult with our teachers during the registration period in the school or call us on the phone .
We recommend that you take a look at the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ( CEFR ), which is located on your right under EU language folder that contains the description of those skills you should acquire after the selected module.
Our team consists of teacher mentor and teachers with master’s degree from the Faculty of Philosophy with the vast experience in teaching through a mentoring program to help younger colleagues and guide them in their professional development.
With years of experience in foreign language teaching, knowledge accumulated over the years and adaptable approach towards the participants, significantly contribute to the quality of the teaching process.
